Specialist Training School & Technology College
We are the association of former students of KEVII School. Membership is open to everyone who has ever attended the school since it opened in 1910 as The County Grammar School of King Edward VII and also to former members of staff. The former students association used to be called The Old Grammarians, but this lapsed in 1968 due to lack of support. The Edwardians was established in 1992 to replace the O.G.'s. At present we have just over 400 members.
We keep members in touch with each other and the school by sending out 2 Magazines and 2 Newsletters a year - so you get something from us every quarter. These also contain advance notice of reunions for different years which are organised by individuals who can receive help from the committee if they wish. Reunions normally take place at the school and tours of the school as it is now can be arranged. So anyone can organise a reunion wherever they live. The Edwardians has a database of over 1500 names and addresses to get them started. We can also make all necessary arrangements at the school.
The subscription for all this is only £5.00 a year payable in January each year. For further details and an enrolment form contact june.anderson@ntlworld.com
"School on the Hill" - This book, by Tom Corfe covering events at KEVII from 1910 - 1960 has been reprinted to mark the Millennium.
